Winter 2015: Trends

A good morning post to let you know what to expect for Winter 2015, what key pieces.

  • Skirt over Pants (S.O.P.)
From New York to Paris, this trend was seen all over the runway. Inspired from the '90 we already saw this look on the red carpet, when Emma Watson rocked a Dior look for the Golden Globes. In Ulyana Sergeenko's Spring 2014 couture runway this look was all over the runway.
This year this trend was seen in Chanel, Stella McCartney and Dries Van Noten.

  • Black & White
This trend is a classic, you can never go wrong, never looking out dated. Every women as tried this look at least once, it's an easy way to put to together a great ensemble. Seen on the runway of Emanuel Hungaro, Louis Vuitton and Valentino.

  • Scarf tied like a Tie
In New York this trend was not seen, preferring turtlenecks to keep warm in the cold icy winter, but in Paris there it was. Of course in France you get warm with a scarf, c'est très chic and only the Parisians know how to tie the scarf in the perfect way.

  • It's All About the Neck
Well, just look at the previous number. From turtlenecks seen in New York FW, scarfs in Paris FW, never get out of the house without some piece that ornaments your neck, remember the Stella McCartney necklace.

  • Don't Forget to Tie your Shoes
Shoes with laces are back!! From sexy looks to some designers preferring a more discrete one, they are back. You can choose over the knee or just an ankle height, but one, they are always coming back for more.
Seen on Vionnet, Chloé and Giambattista Valli.

  • Is it a boot? Is it a sock?
If you saw the Dior show, you could not have missed those boots, and probably think if they were a really high boot or just trousers. This look are so tight you can not distinguish what is what but they are so gorgeous, and the colors used will look great in winter. The red color of the Dior boots in a grey, rainy day will give you a boost.
Seen on the runway of Roland Mouret, Dior and Alexander McQueen.

  • Bulky Belts
Put your belts on or your committing a Fashion crime! And don't forget the bigger the better.
Ann Demeulemeester, Rochas and Balmain.

Winter is coming and now you are ready.

xoxo, A
