How To Be Parisian In California

Nicolas Ghesquière really knows how to bring the Parisian soul to the California state. On Thursday Louis Vuitton presented the Cruise Collection in the Bob Hope state and I must say that Nicolas impresses me every single time. Not only he revolutionized the most important symbol of the brand, the bags, but he also changed the brand itself.
The show counted with numerous celebrities and some of the brand's muses.

Michelle Williams with Nicola Ghesquière; Miroslava Duma; Adèle Exarchopoulos

Catherine Deneuve with Michelle Williams and Charlotte Gainsbourg

Charlotte Gainsbourg; Michelle Williams; Miranda Kerr

Marisa Tomei; Ziyi Zhang; Nathalie Emmanuel

Alicia Vikander; Kristina Bazan; Selena Gomez

Opening with the perfect elements of a fluid skirts with criss-crossing belts that only exposed a little bit of the stomach.

Urs Fischer is the inspiration behind the chain motifs, the effect was perfected when combine with giant zipper pulls and leather straps.

The idea of wearing a magnifique purse was behind the several dresses and tops that featured shinny, embossed materials resembling exotic skins.

Hot pants will become the next it cloth item and Ghesquière made them perfect. If you don't fancy the hot pants, you can always choose the flow jumpsuit.

Medieval theme was there too, outfits featuring maxi-dresses with chainmail embellishments or groomed-leather shoulders, paired with fantastic lug-sole boots.

Let's not forget the amazing leather maxi dresses. I think the red one is perfect for the next red carpet event, maybe I'll take it.

Now let's look at the fantastic details and accessories that makes Nicola Ghesquière the most fantastic designer. Models used leather rings featuring the LV logo, a trend I will want to use. When it comes to bags, more is more, so why just carry one bag when you can carry two?

Birkenstocks will be forgotten thanks to the new LV ugly shoe. This is a trend I will not try, ugly shoes are not my thing but on the right person they can be perfect.

Looking at this collection makes me fall in love all over again with Louis Vuitton and Nicolas Ghesquière, he knows who to use the influences from the past and give them a modern twist, renewing the brand's accessories and not forgetting how the brand started, as a travel bag design.

xoxo, A
